2. Safety & Warnings

Use only standard USB-C charger. Recommended: 5V, 0.5A to 1A.

Do not expose to water. Not waterproof.

Avoid extreme heat or fire.

Stop using if device becomes hot, swollen, or damaged.

Do not open device or attempt to replace battery.

• If skin irritation occurs, remove or try a different body part.

• Not recommended for children under 8.

• Wellness device, not a medical device.

3. Warranty

6-months warranty covering manufacturing defects and broken hardware.

Does not cover water damage (not water resistant), misuse, drops, or unauthorized repairs.

(No charger included. Any standard USB-C cable can be used.)

5. Charging the Band

(Do This First)

1. Connect a USB-C cable to the charging port.

2. Use a 5V, 0.5A to 1A normal charger.

3. Device powers on automatically when charger is connected.

4. To turn on after charging: plug in first, then unplug.

On unplug: check USB port — light shows for 2s:
Red = low battery  |  Green = ~75%  |  Cyan = full (>75%)
Connect to app for exact battery level.

Battery life: 2.5 to 5 days.

Avoid fast chargers above 5V — reduces battery health.

6. Turn On / Turn Off

Turn On

No physical button. Connect USB-C charger — device powers on automatically.

To turn on after charging: plug in first, then unplug.

Turn Off

1. Open the app

2. Go to Vitals Dashboard

3. Slide to end → tap Shutdown Device

The band will unpair and shut down.

LED Indicators

• Blue blinking: Bluetooth searching, not connected

• No light: Bluetooth connected or device off

• Red blink: Low battery

For exact battery level, connect to phone and check the app.

7. Connecting to the App

1. Open the Bitwell App.

2. Go to Vitals Dashboard → Connect → BitwellBand → Select BitwellBand.

3. If a firmware update appears, update first.

Band only advertises Bluetooth when not on charger and not already connected.

8. Device Features

Heart Rate

Measures heartbeats per minute every 20 seconds. Accuracy highest when movement is low.

SpO₂

Measures blood oxygen every 5 minutes. Movement, loose fit, tattoos, or dry skin can reduce accuracy.

Mobility

Overall movement in the last 30s. Useful to understand activity or rest patterns.

Stability

Smoothness of movement in last 30s. Higher stability = less shaking or jerky movement.

Automatic Sync

• Data syncs to the app in real time when connected.

• No offline storage — band only records when connected to phone.

• If placed on charger while connected: band stays connected but pauses readings.

• If not connected to phone: no readings taken.

24/7 Tracking

• Mobility, Stability & Fall: continuous.

• HR: every 20 seconds.

• SpO₂: every 5 minutes to extend battery life.

9. Wearing Tips

For best accuracy, wear snug on the wrist.

If wrist feels uncomfortable, you can try:

  • Ankle
  • Any stable spot with good skin contact

Accuracy reduces with heavy movement.

10. Troubleshooting

Band not charging:

  • Try another USB-C cable.
  • Use a normal 5V charger.
  • Clean the USB-C port gently.

App not connecting:

  • Restart Bluetooth.
  • Forget and reconnect device.
  • Update firmware if the app asks.
  • Restart the app.

Data not updating:

  • Tighten the strap.
  • Refresh the app.
  • Charge the band (low battery reduces sensor quality).

11. Care & Maintenance

  • Clean the sensor area with a soft dry cloth.
  • Do not use alcohol or chemicals.
  • Remove band occasionally or try a different body area for comfort.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when unused.
