Bitwell Guardian · care homes, hospitals, assisted living

Know who needs you, the moment they need you.

Everyone in your care on one screen. A fall, a heart rate that isn't like them, a week that's quietly gone wrong: your staff hear about it first, with the full story. No cameras, no wiring, nothing in the walls.

Why it matters

The same night, two ways.

Rounds every two hours are the best a stretched night team can do. A lot can happen in two hours.

Without Guardian

  • 1:00Night round. Everyone asleep.
  • 1:52Mr. Kumar gets up for the bathroom and falls.
  • 1:53He can't reach the call button.
  • 3:00Found on the next round, 68 minutes later.

With Guardian

  • 1:52The band detects a possible fall.
  • +20 sNo movement. The night desk and the on-call phone are alerted.
  • +3 minA nurse is in the room, with what happened before and after on screen.
  • MorningHis family already knows he's okay.
How it works

Four steps, and nothing to install in the building.

Enrol members

Add each member with their phone number, and assign wings and rooms.

They say yes

Each member, or their family, accepts the invitation in the Bitwell app. Nothing flows until they do.

They wear the band

BitwellBand on the wrist, the phone or a shared device nearby. Readings start straight away.

Your team is alerted

On the dashboard and on their phones, each person with the alerts they choose.

Features

Built around what staff actually need at 2 AM.

Fall alerts

Not just “fall detected”. The whole story.

Open any fall and see it in plain words: how still they were before, the moment of the fall, how long they stayed down, their heart rate after, who was told and when, and when they moved again.

  • Your team is alerted within seconds if the member isn't moving
  • Escalates to critical if they stay still
  • Stands down on its own when the band was off the wrist
Early changes

See who needs a visit before it's an emergency.

Every member is compared with their own usual, not a textbook. Heart rate, oxygen, breathing, sleep, how much they're moving, and their daily routine.

  • Your own thresholds for each vital, per facility
  • A Deep Health Report per member, with a page for their doctor
  • Mood & Routine and stress balance: the quiet changes that come before “they haven't been themselves”
AI check-in calls

A friendly call to every member, every day.

Write what you'd like asked in plain language. An AI assistant calls the member, has the conversation, remembers what they've said before, and raises anything worrying to your staff.

  • Says it's automated at the start of every call, and hands over to a person on request
  • Written transcripts only, no voice recordings
  • Never diagnoses or advises on medication; it raises concerns to staff
  • Switched on per facility, only for members who've agreed
Team alerts

The right phone rings. Not every phone.

Connect the night desk, the on-call doctor and the manager on Telegram. Each person picks which alerts they get, and care-plan reminders go to the staff member they belong to.

  • As many phones as you need, each with its own settings
  • Repeat alerts and all-clears, so nobody's left guessing
  • Medication and care-plan reminders, with a nudge when one is overdue
API & webhooks

Plug it into the systems you already run.

Read members, vitals, alerts, fall events and reports with an API key, or have events pushed to your servers the moment they happen.

  • Read-only API keys, per facility
  • Signed webhooks, retried automatically, with an email if one keeps failing
  • Full documentation, and a PDF for your IT team

Questions facilities ask us

Do we need to install anything in the building?

No. Members wear BitwellBand, which connects to a phone nearby. Your team uses Guardian in a web browser and gets alerts on their phones.

How quickly does staff hear about a fall?

If the member isn't moving after a possible fall, your team is alerted within seconds, and it escalates to critical if they stay still. Members can also choose to be asked “Did you fall?” first.

Will it flood us with false alarms?

Each alert looks at the impact, how the wrist turned, whether the member is still afterwards, and whether the band is on the wrist at all. Every alert shows its full story, so staff can judge it at a glance.

Can hospitals use it?

Yes, for wards, step-down care and patients going home. Guardian works the same way for any team caring for many people.

Can it connect to our own software?

Yes. Read-only API keys and signed webhooks, with documentation for your IT team.

Is Guardian a medical device?

No. It supports your staff's judgement and doesn't replace it, and it doesn't diagnose any condition.

Start with one wing.
